i just recently got myself a second copy of destroyer’s 2000 album thief. i lost my original copy about a year ago when my hard drive self destructed, so until now all i have had of thief are these two versions of “the temple”. it is probably my favorite song from the album, but it’s nice to have the whole thing again.

while i’m on the subject, i might as well mention this clip of dan playing “the temple” from the 2000 film low self esteem girl. it is really amazing, until some douche bag comes in and ruins it. i’ve never seen the movie, so i have no idea how this clip fits into it or whether this is dan’s only appearance. check out this plot summary from imdb:

sounds crazy… i’m pretty sure this was never released, besides being shown at one or two film festivals. anyone see it back in 2000?
