though i’m sure most people don’t need a reminder to check out pitchfork, they’ve got so many good things going on right now i’m going to remind you anyway.

first of all, new os mutantes! as in brand new, from an as yet untitled album due out late later this summer, which is the perfect season for this stuff. it’s called “mutantes depois”. what’s that mean? i don’t know, sounds nice though.

then pitchfork.tv has got bill fucking callahan doing some late night acoustic rocking on a brooklyn rooftop. you can catch him playing “diamond dancer” and “sycamore” from woke on a whaleheart and “cold blooded old times” from one of my top 10 favorite albums ever, smog’s knock knock. “sycamore” seems to the best suited for the rooftop treatment, though it all sounds pretty good, even if thor looks bored out of his mind doing that simple tap ‘n clap rhythm on “cold blooded old times”.

finally, that one week only showing of dan deacon and jimmy roche’s ultimate reality dvd will be coming to an end soon. i’ve mentioned it before… it’s insane… so be sure to check it out before it’s too late.
