non von neumann anti machine
mp3: for the agenda – lonely man
mp3: for the agenda – vampire octopus
mp3: for the agenda – whiskey pains
mp3: for the agenda – living poets
i didn’t mention this when i originally posted these for the agenda songs, but they are all from the self-released full length tape non von neumann anti machine. that’s right i said tape, as in cassette tape, a technology most people probably haven’t touched in a decade. but that’s alright because for the agenda isn’t for most people. just as only a very certain kind of person would be familiar with a non von neumann anti machine, only a certain type of person is likely to fully appreciate anton’s unique brand of somehow playfully melodramatic music.
that is not to suggest that a computer science degree is a requirement for enjoying the tape, although it may be for understanding its title. for the agenda makes music for inquisitive spirits, those who have spent enough nights staring at the bottom of a bottle to know sometimes “there just needs to be a human voice. it doesn’t matter what you say.” the kind of person that might dedicate their free time to imagining up oddities like the “vampire octopus” (or better yet, seeking them out) or laugh at the thought of an apocalyptic war against the animal kingdom.
it’s my hope that those are the kind of people that visit this blog. if you are one of them, as you may have already guessed, non von neumann anti machine comes highly recommended. check out for the agenda’s myspace for more info.
