last week i mentioned the upcoming deluxe reissue of pavement’s 1997 album brighten the corners. along with an updated tracklist, matador recently released the details on the buy early get now promotion for the release.
in addition to the standard stuff you might be expecting — early stream of the album, couple of exclusive bonus tracks, poster — there is one amazing bonus that i bet few pavement fans will be able to resist… an exclusive, made to order vinyl lp! not only is this a limited edition vinyl made just for those who preorder, but it’s grooves will hold the planned, but never released, pavement live album! that’s right… a limited edition vinyl run of a never before released pavement recording. i was planning on picking this up anyway, but the credit card shot out of my pocket the second i read this.
