i am very pleased to announce that the bat and the bird has recently launched acoustaclaw records, a very small digital record label home to some of our music making friends here in dc (including myself)! very much in the spirit of this blog, every album currently available on acoustaclaw is being offered to download in full completely free and it is my hope that all future releases will remain this way. speaking of future releases, we will be releasing new eps from both the idles and quidnunk in august. quidnunk’s dinner bell ep is already in the can and the idles red line ep will soon be joining it. i’ve also got a couple other artists i’m hoping to add to the roster in the coming months, so with a little luck we should have lots more free local music on the way.
