top 100 v3 countdown: 80-71
so i’ve just finished the third revision of my top 100 albums list — which to avoid confusion/arguments is a personal selection, not an attempt at a best of all time list — and to build some interest/excitement in the list beyond myself and the 1-2 other people that have traditionally cared about this i’ve decided to do a ten day countdown leading up to my number 1 album choice, vh1 best [whatever] of [decade] style.

archer prewitt next to modern lovers is blasphamy. kellen, listen to jonothan.
okay, i finally get the dinner bell thing. I have it on my top 100 too, so i can’t complain.
that feels more like a slight to archer prewitt than a compliment to jonathan richman. the albums are too different to compare… but in my mind wilderness is archer’s best work (sea and cake included — i’m sure we’ll disagree there) and deserves its place on the list.
